This week we continued to chill in Miami and then started heading north to the Carolinas on the final leg of our journey.
I’d like to say that we spent our Miami time in the sun but the storms confined us to our apartment, blitzing our way through the Game of Thrones series. Finally, on our last day in Miami, the sun came out. And we both burned ourselves silly 😦

This week began with frustrating hitchhiking but ended in a beautiful apartment in Miami for Sarah’s BIRTHDAY!
Hitchhiking becomes stressful when you have a time limit and with only one day in Atlanta, the pressure was on to get there as fast as possible…

We sourced a fair amount of food this week (not all of it edible…) and covered 1,200 miles!
Hitting the states of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, Missouri and Kentucky. We were rained out of the south and had to skip New Orleans which was gutting as we’d been really looking forward to it but hey ho! gotta go with tha flow…

Week 13. What on earth can we say about week 13. From hitch hiking a cop car to seeing the Taos Earth Ships, to breaking up a fight to taking a trip to ER and a million other things in between…

That’s exactly what Rand and Jonathan allowed us to do in Flagstaff, and it was only at the end of Week 12 we actually managed to move on to our next destination…Albuquerque.

Week 11 started crazy and ended in the most relaxing way possible.
We learned a lot about Vegas, a lot about Arizona, and confirmed that we both love the mountains and nature far, FAR more than the desert and cities. No surprises there. What did surprise us though is the lengths people will go to to help us out, and the power of having someone ‘vouch’ for you…
